I got to sleep from midnight until 6:30!

It was amazing.  DH said DS was fussy until 2, so he got to see the side of DS that I see every night.  At two, he settled down enough to eat (he didn't even want to EAT he was so fussy!) and then fell asleep with DH until 6:30 when he was hungry again (no joke- I am after 4 hours too!).  And then I held him the rest of the morning.  (I figured out a way to sleep with him that I'm not worried about, since my hands aren't free to do whatever) He was sleeping, but noisily, so I got up at 9 (after my Dad called) and started the CD laundry and unloaded the dishwasher and started some tea to steep... What else should I do?  DS is content in his rocker for a bit... I guess I could plan my meals for the week and work on the grocery list...

    Monday-Friday, I'm 100% in your shoes.  Last night was DH's FIRST night with the night shift (since his family was here to take over for his only two nights last week).  I liked it.  He's still in bed now, but I don't expect him to stay there too much longer... especially if he wants hot dogs to grill during the football game later today.  Go Gators!

    I nursed DS at midnight and at 6:30, but DH gave him a bottle in the middle so that I could sleep.  I will pump an extra session some time today so that I don't compromise supply, but I don't think a missed session twice a week will hurt TOO much, especially if I'm making up for it by pumping some other time.  I need the sleep too much to try to worry about it.

    So glad you were able to get some much-need (and much deserved!) rest :) I remember those days of absolute exhaustion far too well (esp. since for us, they didn't end all that long ago Tongue Tied). I hope you're able to have more nights like that soon!

    Last night was DHs night and I was up with DS at 1, 3, 5, and then 6 for the day.  No, I'm not bitter ;P
