    I don't have a wealth of info on lie detector tests, but they actually measure your body's reaction to questions. If your reactions get faster then you "lied" from what I understand.... I think that the tests might work in general, but there are always people that are super emotional (so asking if you killed someone even if you didn't do it) might be enough to set someone off and come up as a "lie"....

    I believe their accuracy is directly correlated to the person administering/interpreting the test.

    That's why they do "test" questions first, to have a comparison. The problem is, some people are emotionally void, jaded, or really beieve their own lies. So while they are accurate on some people, they can be very inaccurate on others.
