Jonah??

What do you think of the name Jonah?? What comes to mind when you hear this name?? It's really growing on me but I'm worried people will associated it with the Jonas Brothers. Also, does it sound feminine to you at all? Honest opinions please

I love it! Dh vetoed. I don't think of the Jonas brothers. I think of Jonah and the Whale.

I love it, its at the top of my list too, but DH said no because of Jonas brothers too...I just think its a great classical biblical name

I think of this kid on some Canadian TV my sister used to watch. Not a good thing or a bad thing. The name is okay, nms but I don't find it feminine or strange or trendy.

I love Jonah and do not think of Jonas brothers. My nephew is a Jonah and no one compares him to that.

I dig it. But...I named my kid Jonas despite the whole "Jonas Brothers" thing. Actually, I picked his name from the Weezer song.

Jonah is great, imo.

I went to Catholic school, so the first thing I thought of was Jonah and the whale. I don't think that will be the case for everyone, though! It's a cute name

I love Jonah. It's one of our top two choices. It's between Jonah and Brooks. Although, I think of Jonah and the whale.

I also think Jonah and the whale which isn't a bad association. I definitely do NOT think Jonas Brothers. I really like it! Smile

I really like Jonah, but already knew a couple. DH loved it. I preferred Jude. So we compromised with Judah. I don't think there should be any connection between Jonah and the Jonas brothers, but if you are worried about it you could consider Judah.

I love this name!! I definitely don't think of the Jonas brothers. I actually think of the little boy in Sleepless in Seattle haha. But I think it's a great name :-)

I love it....it reminds me of a character in a novel I read once...just a nice old-fashioned biblical name. Definitely due for a revival, sounds fresh, but not trendy.
