Updates on the blog...

Right now, our biggest issue is he is still having persistent chest retractions and desats. He refuses to allow a nasal cannula and won't lay still long enough for a blow-by of oxygen, so he keeps dropping to 85% everytime he falls asleep, the machine goes off, the nurses mess with him...ugh. I'm lucky I have you guys who know what all that means.

Anyway, off to try to sleep...keep us in your prayers, please. I can't believe we are going through this...it came out of the thin air!

you poor thing. Ugh.. If it continues, is there any way to sedate him a little so he'll leave the canula alone?

I'll keep you guys in my prayers here as well. It is frightening how fast this can come on. Ryan's a few months ago was a cold one day and pneumonia the next. It freaked us out! I am so sorry you are going through this and hope Marino heals quickly.
