So annoyed about trying to get H1N1 vax

I am so annoyed right now about how the H1N1 vaccine is being distributed.  DD's pedi office has been getting small amounts of it at a time for the past few weeks and the first two times they got it they sent out an e-mail saying that it would be available to all high risk patients only.  I totally understand that -high risk kids should get it first.  But now the last two times they got shipments, including this time when they got a big shipment of over 500 doses, it's only available to kids ages 3 and up.  And of course DD is 2....  which is why I'm annoyed.  I guess I don't understand their logic -why wouldn't they open it up to all their patients once the high risk kids are covered?  They said in the e-mail that they'll schedule another time for kids under 3 at a later date, and to stay tuned....     

 I think the most frustrating part is just seeing how differently various offices are giving them out around here.  Some just have lines of people waiting to get it at the office when it comes in.  Some are doing a lottery system,  and a friend of mine just took her son in during walk-in hours and was able to get it no problem.  And I have yet to see any big clinics set up for the general public at the town hall, etc.

    We went yest for both kids well visits and only the reg flu shot was avail.  In our town all the public schools get it first, so theyre still doing that.  Once that is all over then they start distributing them to the Pedi offices.

    my pedi's office has had two shipments and both times all the appts for them were booked in 20 mins, extremely irratating!

    We have an appointment to get them today. If they are available here, then they will surely be available everywhere else soon. : )

    I happened to call the Health Deparment on the right day and we got the mist for my 17, 15 , and  2 years old. Then she asked if I wanted one so I got one also. I have since been trying to get some for my DH and can't get one. I think it is the luck of the draw.
