Right now we have the twins in their infant carriers in the back seat. Since they only go up to 22lbs and they are both give or take a few oz 19lbs we are going to look at getting another convertible seat and get Maddie a FFing harnessed booster. The girls are so heavy in their seats that I can't hoist them up enough to get them in the back seat anymore. Since the back seat is so narrow I don't think I could get both girls in their convertible seats rearfacing in the back. What did you do when the little ones got too big and what is the seating arrangement for twins + toddler?
TIA!
Re: Vans and Children seating arrangement? (Twins + Toddler)
i would not put your toddler in a booster at that young age - it might not even be legal in your state. I will only have my toddler in a 5 pt harness regular convertible car seat - they are MUCH safer. He is forward facing, in the 3rd row of our minivan - and the twins are rear facing in the middle row- still in their infant seats- but about to move them to convertible seats still in the middle row.
Goldie: We are looking at a 5 pt harness to booster seat, not just a booster seat. I want something that will grow with her.
I am just looking to see what bigger infant seating arrangements are since the twins are in need of convertible seats. Since we have captains chairs in the middle I can't have both babies in the front rear facing. I think my only option will be to put one baby in the back, one in the capatin and Maddie in the back seat. Leaving the one captain seat in the stow n go.
