pincher bugs/earwigs..whatever.... get out of my house!!

I'm soooo tired of these bugs. It's bad enough that they are outside, but it seems that since the weather started to change there have been more and more of them inside. It is making me nuts. 

Yesterday there was one at the top of our front door and the cat found one to play with on the floor. Tonight I just found one on it's way into the cat's water bowl. How do they find their way in here anyway?

 We have a pest control service and it's been about 2 weeks since they were last here. I swear it seems like it gets worse right after they've sprayed or put out the granuals in the grass. Right now I don't want to have the interior sprayed, but I'm not sure what else to do. I'm thinking of having the grass poison put out again this week to try too kill off the next cycle of them. 

Any suggestions?

    EW! I hate them! I would look into non harmful things to spray in the house. My FI laughs but when I was a kid my brother told me that they were called earwigs because they would crawl into my ear and eat my brain. Even tho I know it's not true now, they still scare the crap out of me. Gotta love big brothers! GL with getting them out of the house!!!

    If they've already done the treatment outside, the best thing to do is make sure that under your window/door jams are sealed tightly.  Also, vaccum the whole house and throw out the bag.  They often lay their eggs in carpet.  GL!

    Not sure what area you live in but where I am at, I get them really bad in the basement when there is a lot of moisture in the air. It helps when I run the dehumidifer A LOT in the basement (or air in the summer).

    These bugs give me the heebie jeebies...GL!
