I would love to get a train set for Seth! They're so expensive, though... I need to start looking into it.
Anyway, I'm planning on sewing some bean bags. I got some alphabet fabric and will make a bean bag for each letter. I want to get or make some sort of bucket or basket or somewhere to throw the bean bags to make it a sort of game, too.
I want to get him some Legos or something similar, too. He likes his plain wooden blocks but it's hard for him to build stuff because he doesn't quite have the coordination to make it work very well. Good thing he likes destroying things more than building right now
thomas is a little younger, but he is getting a shopping cart with felt food, a small table and chairs, and a melissa and doug piano (it is on sale at the mini social right now) but that is probably going to be loud, lol.
DS will be getting a kitchen (a wooden one) for Christmas. He also has a tricycle on his list. He got a table and chairs earlier this year and loves that.
kmgourley - look on ebay and craigslist for Thomas stuff. It tends to resell pretty often - kids outgrow it and it costs so much parents want to recoup some of the money. My SIL got a whole set of the plastic Thomas stuff for ?50 on ebay. I bet you could find the wooden ones as well, just for slightly more.
Here is a list for birthday and holidays - I have some other stuff on his wishlist on Amazon if you want to look it up there. I can send you the link on fb.

DD was 2 last March, and these were some of the gifts she got that Christmas and for her birthday:
a kitchen set & play food
table and chairs
easel
tricycle with an adult push-bar
The rest fell into the plastic and loud category.
DS will be getting a kitchen (a wooden one) for Christmas. He also has a tricycle on his list. He got a table and chairs earlier this year and loves that.
a magna doodle (my parents bought him one and he loved it but it broke so we're going to replace it... wish it wasn't plastic but oh well)
playdoh and one of the kits that lets you turn it into spaghetti and stuff.
puzzles
books
a trike or balance bike & helmet
a crayon/pencil box, other crafty stuff
potentially a tool kit.
