(I accidentally posted on 24+ first, sorry for the duplication!)
Totally NTR, but I'm so excited because we finally finished redoing
our kitchen & I had to share. Now Penny can walk from one end of
the house to the other, which has become her new obsession. That and
taking things out of all of our cabinets. It used to be easy because
she was just forbidden from the kitchen!
It used to be this lovely 48 sq ft box (hard to get a picture of because it was so tiny!):
and the dining room:
And here it is after:
If you made it this far, question for you: what would you do about a backsplash? We haven't done anything yet because I am indecisive, and we were trying to save some money and this was something we can add later. We plan to sell in 2-3 years, so while I love color I'm hesitant to incorporate that into a backsplash, but wasn't sure what kind of neutrals to use. Or, should we just skip the backsplash altogether?
(XP from D&R, I value all of your opinions so I wanted to post here)
Re: NTR PIP: New Kitchen!
That looks great!! And for now, I think you should keep the green backsplash. I like it!!
It looks fantastic!!! I love the under-cabinet lighting. That's something I want to add to our kitchen.
That looks so gorgeous, I love it.
I have a small kitchen, too, but we rent so I can't just start merging rooms. Wish I could, yours looks great.
Love it! We are in the process of re-doing our kitchen now.
I would leave the paint and not do a backsplash. I love the white cabinets with you green paint. Looks great!
Wow. You guys did a great job. I love it!
I think you could get away with not doing a backsplash for now (to save $), but if you wanted to, I'd do neutral (tan, beige, etc.) tile.
If you wanted to do something inexpensive, you could do a tin backsplash. DH's aunt and uncle did this in their new kitchen and it looks really nice https://www.m-boss.com/store/Web/pc-329-9-princess-victoria-backsplash.aspx
They actually gave us their left over sheets, and we're going to put it up in our kitchen (we're doing a modern retro overhaul). Everything looks beautiful in your kitchen!
