DH has never out right said it, but I know in the back of his head that's what he is saying. I told him that DS might not like football and basketball and might want to Dance and he Basically said "No." It will be interesting as he gets older

DH often says, while helping Charlie put on a tutu and a pair of sparkly shoes, "How many daddies would even allow their son to wear a tutu, and I even help you get it on! Now, where is the fairy wand..."
Mod, you were too obvious. You need to be more subtle when fishing for flame subjects. It's better when you just leap on somebody from someone else's random post.
I've given away clothes that look too "girly" to my friends who have girl babies. I don't think wearing a pink onsie will make him gay though....I just prefer to dress DS in more "manly" outfits.

My son is 2 and my husband flips a lid when he plays with my 7mo dd's toys..or wants to wear her headbands. The way I figure it, as long as the headbands dont match his outfits, he's fine. And I tell my hubs that all the time.

My uncle did that with my cousin. His first son loved playing with Barbies and he didn't want his second son playing with them so he wouldn't let him. Guess which son turned out to be gay? Ahh, the irony.

Re: i am waiting for someone to admit their husband
Oh oh I can't wait. This helps me with my "who to ignore" list.
I ranted about this once...it was a good one ::scampers to find post::
I have a friend whose husband is like this. The boy loves dolls and play kitchens. Husband said it's "gay for him to be playing with that stuff."
DH was like that when I was pregnant. But now I'm more of the "that's too girly" person in the family now.
ETA: Neither of us said it'd "make him gay" but we both have had our "no girly stuff for the boy" type of moments.
What? What? Come on, men don't think that about their boys do the?
P.S. I put my nephew's hair in pink bows...take pictures and then send it to his dad. He has hair that Lu longs for!
My sister's SIL (got that?) refused to buy ANY books, toys, or clothes for her 1 month old son that even remotely resembled being girly in ANY way.
So, for example, she wouldn't let my sister buy "Ten Little Ladybugs" because it was about ladybugs and they were "too girly."
True story.
This is sad.
agree!
I use to dress my brother up as a girl when we were little...wig, makeup, everything. I guess I wanted a sister. Why he let me is really the question.
Anyway, he is 30 now and as straight as an arrow! lol
This, my dad would get a little skeeved when Trevor would say "I'm Trevina, look at me wiggle"
LOL So funny. Glad I am not the only one!
This made me LOL so much that Dd started to LOL! We had a great giggle!
