I think I am definitely going to order a Moby because they are so highly recommended and they are relatively affordable. What about a mei tai? If you have a Moby, is it unnecessary to buy others or would you get both of these? Which mei tai is the best? I have seen Baby Hawk, the Mei Tai Baby brand, a generic one at Bru, etc.....any thoughts? Or if you love a totally different type of carrier, please share! Thanks!

Re: Best Carrier? Mei Tai vs Moby, etc
I have had 11 different carriers from the MobyD to Hotsling, Peanutshell, Bjorn Sport, Snuggli, MeiTai, Ergo, Ergo Sport, Baby Hawk and I can't remember the rest it was so long ago.
Hands down Ergo was and remains the favorite. Eps coming from a woman who has had spinal surg. I can still use the Ergo with my 26 pound 2.5 year old on my back. My 2nd choice would be the MobyD. All the rest were short affairs.
FWIW the Bjorn is not good for babies and can cause hip dysplasia. My Pedi made me stop using it. Any thing where the baby dangles from the crotch puts strain on the hips.
