white spots from swelling?

Over the last couple of days, I've noticed some white spots on my hands, arms, and legs.  I'm on modified bed rest for escalating blood pressures and early signs of pre-e (I had severe pre-e and HELLP with my first) and my hands, arms and feet are moderately swollen (nothing crazy).  My question--are these white spots from the swelling?  Has anyone else had this?  Thanks!

    I have white spots, that I just noticed recently, but I have little to no swelling... so I don't know if they go together, or if they're normal... just wanted to let you know I had them too, lol.

    I have them too. I have swollen hands but that is it. I was wondering what these white specs were but I didn't think to ask the doc b/c my blood pressure is normal. I figured it is b/c I my skin is so stretched. LOL.

    Let us know if you find out what they are caused by.

    I have white spots too on my legs but no swelling. No idea what it's from.

    Thank you ladies.  I see my high-risk OB on Thursday and will get to the bottom of it.  For what it's worth, in my case, I think it is swelling.  I just itched my arm and I can still see the white lines 2 minutes later from my fingernails.  It's not "pitting," but yeah, I'm definitely retaining water.  Blech.  Oh well, c-section 4 weeks from today!
