NBR: Pick out my paint

We're finally getting around to painting the library, but I have absolutely no clue what color to paint it.  Right now it's builder beige.  The big arm chair and ottoman look like this (disregard the swing mobile and tv tray):

I'm very much over the Indian/sari accessories and plan on getting rid of them when we paint. The shelves look like this:

So what do you think?  I'm open to any color suggestions.  Thanks!!

    Hmm..that's a hard one with the color of the chair. What about a khaki color? Our living room is Behr's Brown Tepee and our bedroom is Behr's Harvest Brown. I have pics of both colors in my blog. Let me see if I can find the posts.

    I just had a vision of a warm cream color w/ some awesome coordinating pillows.  I know cream is kind of boring - but if you want to get away from the beige, that might be a good way to go.  Or -  you could pick out some pillows you love and then coordinate a nice color out of those.
