Washcloths, washcloths, washcloths

Not that I have a problem with getting gifts from friends and family but they must think that our baby is going to be the dirtiest thing on the planet.  I registered for a pack of 8 and I bet I got 20 washcloths at my last shower.  I will return some of course because I have nothing to feed this child with. 

I just found it amusing that that was the gift of choice for almost everyone.

    same thing happened to me at my shower. I guess people started getting a little confused over exactly what kind of 'shower' it was.

    Um, you received washcloths...we received 5, yes FIVE bath tubs!!!!  I registered for one at BRU and one at Target...the rest people just purchased.

    I had the same issue ended up with like 14 when I am pretty sure I won't need more than 5.  Most of them came with a set of towls that I did need so wasn't able to return them.

    Although I totally get that you'd prefer to get stuff that you can use right away, but believe me....you need lots of wash cloths.  I just went and bought more last week.  Sure, baby doesn't get that dirty when they are tiny, but just wait till they start eating solids =)

    hehe.. same thing happened to me! I think i have about 40 bibs and 25 wash cloths!!!! craziness! Ohhh.... and 20 recieving blankets and 20 burp cloths!

    haha us too...my MIL even bought us like...I dont know...15 regular adult washcloths, on top of all the baby ones she got for us.  Sweet of her to get us anything...but come on...seriously?

    Actually one of my mommy friends told me to register for a lot of washcloths.  She said that she goes through a lot more than you would expect.  She even keeps some extra ones in her kitchen to clean up her 7-month old after she eats.
