DH and I were shopping last night. Not sure exactly how it came up, but the clerk is a preemie mom of a 26-weeker. The baby was born in 2002 and didn't make it

She said the baby had severe hemmoraging and the doctors were shocked it survived 2 weeks. I just felt so bad for her.

Since then she has had 2 healthy term babies. I thought she was going to cry when she asked how Andrew was doing and seemed so happy to hear that he was doing so well.
Re: :(
how sad.
it always breaks my heart when I hear things like this. As happy as they are for you, you know they're also wondering why their child couldn't have lived, too.
Damn prematurity.
