Really need opinions on this uncommon girl's name!

Musetta

The name Musetta is on my list but when I showed it to DH he read it aloud and pronounced it MOO-set-ah instead of how I would pronounce it MEW-zeh-tah

How would you pronounce it? If people are pronouncing it with the moo sound then I can foresee possible teasing involving cows...haha

Should I just stay away from using this name altogether? Thoughts??

I would pronounce it like your DH did. It is really nms. Doesn't sound feminine at all and I typically lean to gender neutral names.

I would say Mew-zeh-tah. I could also see Muh-zeh-tah.

And I would stay away from this name.

I first thought MOO setta also. Either pronounciation sounds a lot a like when said quickly. I would steer clear from Musetta. And for some reason it makes me think of the Lion King.

you could spend a lifetime explaining that it is mew not moo. If your DD ever has a weight problem in school, she will be teased in the cruel way that only children do.

At first glance, I definitely thought "Moo-set-ta." I also made the cow connection. I would stay far away from this name. (Although, after thinking about it, I definitely see how it could be pronounced the way you like it. But the "moo" thing would always get to me, so it's nms.)
