3rd Trimester

poopie diapers.

Yea, my DH is one of those men and he told me that he won't be changing poopie diapers. He is so good with everything else and very supportive, except when it comes to diaper changing talk, he refuses that he will do it. I gave him major side eye and told him that if he doesn't cooperate with poopie diapers, I won't let him touch LO. Am I being too harsh on him?!

Re: poopie diapers.

  • My DH says this, but I doubt it'll be true once she gets here. He's changed his nephews so many times it's not funny, so I'm sure he'll change his daughters too.

I think our SO others tunes will change once these babies become outside ones, at least I hope so in some aspects, haha!

  • Does he think you will be around the baby 24-7 forever? I mean he is going to end up having to deal with a poopy diaper or two unless he is ok with his child shitting in *** until you can get to it (you know like if you go run errands or to the grocery store or something).

I don't think you are being harsh, he helped make the baby he should be willing to deal with everything a baby entails, poopy diapers and all.

  • hmmm. is he not going to watch the baby on his own until it's like, 2 years old? cause poopy diapers last a loooooong time. and then there's potty training...
  • My DH came home from Costco with an economy box of disposable gloves that he says he will be using to change diapers. I laughed about it but then decided if that is what he needs to do to change diapers, at least he is doing it! You could give your DH a box of his very own :)
  • I think that's silly...why is it your job?  What if you said you wouldn't do it either-is he okay with your LO sitting in poop?  IMO, when you have a baby, it's not like you get to choose what you want to do-the good comes with the bad and you have to step up and take care of what needs to be taken care of!

  • If this were my DH I would say fine, speaking of that, I get really grossed out by spit up so I'm not going to be feeding or burping LO.
