cheap/cute maternity clothes

I was wondering where everyone gets their maternity clothes? I'm only 4 weeks but have been bloated since my ER. I look about 12 weeks to be honest! haha.

I want cute clothes and cheap!

thanks!!

Re: cheap/cute maternity clothes

  • Last pregnancy I bought all of my maternity clothes at Motherhood Maternity.  I think their clothes are cute and cheap :-)

The only thing I may invest in this time around is a really good pair of jeans.  My Motherhood ones gave me saggy ass and all my friends said the only ones that didn't were designer jeans.

  • I would suggest visiting your local thrift and consignment stores.  I bought 3 shirts, 2 pairs of pants plus one item for each of my DD's for less than one pair of pants would normally cost.  This is where I have found almost all of my maternity clothes this time.  They are just not worn enough to get worn out.  GL!
  • My favorite cheap places last time around were Burlington Coat Factory and Gordman's, but I dunno if you have either of those around you.
Adrian 7.6.07 - ADHD, Disruptive Behavior Disorder, Learning Disability-NOS
Cam 6.6.10 - Autism, Global Developmental Delay, Mixed Receptive/Expressive Communication Disorder
  • I'll check out all these places. Yes, we have a BCF but I havent heard of Gordmans (i'll google)!

I'm lucky because I only work 3 days a week and can wear my pjs if I want! I'm a nanny. But I would like to look 'normal' on some days and nights if we go out with friends!

    Thanks everyone!

  • I like Old Navy for cute and cheap maternity clothes.
  • I have gotten a lot of clothes from goodwill, i went on wed. and bought 5 items 2 pairs of work slacks, and 3 blouses for $26 they were all motherhood, w/ exception of 1  old navy blouse.
  • Wow thats a bargin!!
  • I was walking through the maternity section in Target today and saw some cute tops and dresses.
  • In addition to target and Old Navy, I got a lot at ROSS. Really cute stuff and not always the same old thing everyone else has
  • I guess it all is relative to what you/I think is "cheap".  With DD1, I bought most everything new but now life with 2 kids, if I can find something for $5 - WHY NOT?!  While $25 for a shirt at Motherhood is cheap to some, not many of those are in the cards for me this time.

    Ditto!

  • I've seen lots of secondhand maternity clothes listed in the Baby Stuff section of Craigslist. I can't promise it would be cute, though.

  • Try to find a baby consignment shop near you. I live in a pretty big city, and I have three that I visit with consistency. Besides having super cute and super discounted baby stuff, they usually have an awesome maternity section. because it's consignment not donations (like goodwill) it's usually pretty high-end stuff and in excellent condition. That's where I've done all of my shopping so far, and i've gotten some amazing cute pieces for super cheap
