  I got a belly band and hated it.  If you do get one, purchase it at a place you can return it just in case you don't like it.  I just pinned my pants as long as I could then finally broke down and bought maternity pants.

  I feel your pain. I am only 7 weeks and I can barely button, even though I've only gained 2 pounds!

  I didn't love the belly band either.   I know it sounds funny but loop a rubber band over the button of your pants then through the button hole.  It works for a few weeks.  Just wear a long shirt.  Oh and your DH will make fun of you!
