i soaked them for almost 19 hours, they've been boiling away in the chili for close to 4. they are STILL crunchy. what can I do? I was hoping to eat tonight....
i don't know if maybe i need to add some water for them? its pretty watery as it is since i added two cans of tomatoes when I was meant to only add one so i'm really not sure what to do. ugh... and undercooked dried beans can make you ill. i am bummed! this stuff seriously cannot cook much longer.
Re: any way to speed up cooking dried beans?
doh. i was going to suggest boiling them for an hour then soaking them over night (i have to do this if my beans are really really old and dry).
but i'm not sure what to do once they are in something and cooking.
