Ordered our Dresser :)

So I went to Baby Love last night, a locally owned/operated speciality store, to order the Dresser/Changer to go with our crib (we bought our crib at the same store a couple of months back).  I knew the dresser was $589, so I came prepared to pay the 25% down that is required when you order it... The sales guy then tells me that they are having a special of 20% off until the end of the month, but you have to pay in full to get the discount.  So basically, had I have had enough money, $472, I could have saved over $115.... but unfortunately we don't have that kind of cash on hand right now.  I paid 25% down, but on the full price.  I was bummed.  There are just too many expenses right now and we had planned to pay it off when it arrives in early December.  Oh well.  We got a great deal on the crib (saved $300) so atleast we saved money on part of the furniture.

    Congratulations!! It feels good to start working on baby's room ans getting the things that you need. Good luck with everything.

    Those bigger expenses suck! DH and I have to pay off our dr. before the delivery, so we're shelling out an extra $500 a month right now to the dr. office. We're going to have to put off buying our biggest things, well, mostly the crib until a month before LO arrives! It's sucks not being able to get the nursery all together till then, but, LO will be sleeping in a carriage and then a PNP in our room for a few months, so we've got the time!

    Glad you guys are saving some, at least on the crib! It's so fun to do baby stuff!!!

    I know how you feel about expenses piling up! 

    But hurray for ordering your baby furniture- it is so exciting getting the nursery together.

    Yay for ordering your dresser!  I hate when we're in thos tight financial situations.  I can't stand that you have to spend more $$$ in order to save more or get a better deal.

    We'll see how it goes for us soon 'cause we're going furniture shopping for our LO next weekend!

    Stinks that you couldn't get that deal.

    I know what you mean about expenses piling up. We spent a fortune to get pg w/ ds and we're still paying it off Sad
