That's my irrational fear, or rational. I find myself opening doors with my sleeve or stepping away to allow others to open the door for me. Anyone else worry about door knobs or other public things?
Surprisingly I haven't been very paranoid about anything yet. Maybe it's because I wash my hands all the time anyway. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for a relatively illness-free winter.
It's not all that bad to come into contact with germs, that's how we build immunities. I wash my hand frequently, but I don't go nuts trying to sanitize any and everything my family comes into contact with. I like that DD licks the floor in my house and my parents house...she's getting some germs that will help build up her immune system. Do I let her lick the grocery cart? Not until I wipe it down with a disinfecting wipe. But do I wipe down all of her toys, etc all the time? Nope. And I don't flip out when she licks a shoe, or manages to find and immediately suck on a dog toy. I take them away, but it doesn't panic me.
Re: I am afraid of door knobs.
Uh, no.
