I bought a Swiffer Sweeper starter kit today because I had a coupon and my current broom is crap and needs to be replaced anyway. I was in line at Target to check out, and this lady gets in line behind me and starts telling me that she threw out her Swiffer Sweeper because she found out it was toxic to pets and that I probably shouldn't buy one because if my baby crawls on the floor it would probably be toxic to her too.
Anyone heard anything like this, or did this lady maybe have a few screws loose?
Re: Swiffer Sweeper toxic?
if you mean the wet jet stuff, yes that's toxic
I've never heard anything about just the little broom thingy
no it's not. that's one of those dumb emails that goes around.

I think the lady was trying to say that if my baby crawled on a floor that was swept by it she could be injured. Of course I wouldn't put my baby on a floor that was just cleaned though. I checked out the Snopes article and that said it should be safe. Thanks!
