Moms of crawlers

I know DS weight gain is supposed to slow down once he is mobile. He has been crawling since 6.5 months, but I don't think he has gained any weight in the last month. He is a healthy 20.5lbs. Should I be concerned?  What are your experiences?

    Liam's been crawling since 6 months, and he gained less than a pound and a half between 6 and 9 months. the doctor wasn't concerned. (he was only 17 lbs 12 oz at his 9 month appointment. he's just little!)

    I don't think you should be concerned if he's eating well and is developing like he's supposed to. DS gains very slowly now as well (he started crawling around 6 months and pulling up/getting down aound 7).

    DS has still been gaining - but very slowly.  At 6 months he weighed 16lb7oz and was 25th percentile.  At 9 months he weighed 17lbs14oz and 10th percentile.  Pedi was not worried and says it's normal around 9 months because of how active they are.

    My LO's has gained about a lb in 2 months.  He just started crawling about a 2-3 weeks ago.  He is a mini guy and weighs 15lbs 13oz.

    Carson just started crawling in the last week or 2. But even despite that she still only gained a pound or so between 6 and 9 months. They tend to slwo down after 6 months. Average baby will triple their birth weight by a year so if you are somewhere in that range then i would not worry at all,espif he is developing normally

    Have you weighed him, or are you just guessing?  Either way, I wouldn't be too concerned.  Connor actually went through a period of time (9-12 mos) where he only gained a few oz, and he didn't weigh nearly as much as your little guy does.  He eventually caught up, and he's a pretty solid 3 1/2 year old now.

    Kiddo started crawling about the same time.  He gained just over a pound and a half between 6 and 9 months and went from the 50th to the 25th percentile in weight.

    Pedi wasn't at all concerned and said that was very normal.  Growth slows anyway past 6 months and getting mobile slows it even more.

    Thanks ladies!  I was used to him gaining about 2lbs a month-chunker! LOL. So it was just a little shocking for him to not gain anything eventhough he sprouted 2 in. He has just about tripled his birth weight.
