Jen's post has me thinking and now I am so confused. Does his feeding seem right or should I be increasing his formula especially during the day?
LO typically has 7 feedings per day. We were giving him 4.5 oz at every feeding but with his latest fussiness I dropped back down to 4 oz because he was refusing to finish the last .5 oz. He eats during the day every 3 to 3 1/2 hrs and his last bottle is at 10:30. He then sleeps until 3:30 or 4:30, eats and sleeps for another 3 to 4 hours. Thanks to you ladies I have been using mylicon after after bottle he is plowing through them should i up the formula or give it a week? If I up the formula (load him up) during the day would he sleep longer at night?
I think I am razy for some reason I am so fixated on his feeding!
Re: Feeding Question
I think that every baby is different, and you'll drive yourself crazy if you compare what yours eats to what other people's LOs are eating. If he's content with the amount you're feeding him, then I really wouldn't worry. You said yourself that he wasn't finishing the bigger bottles. Sleeping a 5-6 hour stretch at 5 weeks old is great! I honestly think that people whose babies sleep 10-12 hours by the time they're 2-3 months old are just very very lucky.
It sounds like you're doing a great job--trust your instincts!
This! And I have always wanted to post a 'This' post!
