3rd Trimester

Hiccups?

I'm at 29+ weeks and have not yet felt the baby hiccup. Every time he moves a lot I pay attention thinking it might be hiccups, but nothing more than a few movements at a time in one place. Anyone else NOT feeling hiccups yet? Just curious...

Re: Hiccups?

  • When my baby hiccups, it's only like 3 or 4 times in a row, it doesn't go on for minutes long like it does when I get the hiccups myself.

  • i felt the baby have hiccups for the first and only time about a week ago. i was awake later than usual and felt them for more than 15 mins. i think they must get the hiccups at that same time every night but i dont notice b/c i am sleeping.

  • I didn't start feeling them until a few weeks ago. Now it feels like he has them all the time. I think it's one of those things that different with every pregnancy because my gf that has three sons didn't really feel them at all with any of hers.
  • Mine just started to be felt in the last few days.  It isn't all the time.  It is pretty obvious what it is when you get them.  :)

  • My baby didn't have hiccups until around 32 weeks.  I was wondering if I would miss out of them, but they came eventually.  I was really excited to have them - they're so cute!  Now the baby gets them maybe once a day (and they're still totally cute).

  • I think I just felt them for the first time about a week ago. But I don't know that every single baby inutero has hiccups.  So if you haven't felt them I really wouldn't worry about it.
  • I didn't start feeling them until about 31 weeks.
