NBR- any graphic designers out there?

Hi there, I randomly got a freelance job and I am totally outdated in what the going rates are for graphic design work. I've actually done the project before, but it was part of a package deal and I am only doing the brochure this time and not the rest of it. So do you charge by the hour or the project type? It's a 12 page folded brochure, black and white and seeing as I've done it before and only have to change a little of the info. will probably take me an hour if that to update. Thanks!!

    I do graphic design for websites and I charge hourly. The reason is because if you quote a project based on what the client says they want you may end up in a sticky situation when the scope of the project changes, or they ask for even more revisions. Clients sometimes don't understand that they don't get unlimited revisions or changes to the scope of the project for the same price you originally quoted. This way, if they ask for something more I can say - ok that will take x amount of extra time so you will be charged x more. I charge 75-100 per hour, but I think that is on the low side for my area.
