  • We don't have the whole nursery completed yet, but here's the crib bedding:

Kind of hard to see the skirt, but it is a coordinating stripe.  I'll be making the curtain valances out of the same fabric.

I like that bedding a lot... I saw different variations of that in Etsy and liked it there as well!

  • My mom made the bedding, valance, and artwork from a bumper just like the one in the crib...the bumbers were bought at Goodwill for $3.00 :)

Really beautiful!  That looks like a LOT of work (and a LOT of taping off!).  Question--for the tree, did you tape that off with painter's tape?  Did you have any kind of stencil, or did you just freehand it?  I am wanting to do a tree limb with an owl on it, and I thought maybe I could apply whatever technique you used.  We are also doing primarily green (lime, not sage) and brown in our nursery, too!

  • mom2binKC: I just searched for tree images on google and then when I found one that I liked I just freehanded it... I used a piece of chalk to draw it out and then painted the brown around it before I filled it in with the green. It really didnt take too long :) and believe me Im not an artist by any means... I used a sponge brush and a small paintbrush to paint the lines for the tree.
  • This is the best pic of everything so far... image

  • This is our bedding: image and it came with a cute matching valence. Then I put a little "family tree" wall decal with pictures of family members spaced in between the branches. I can't find a picture of it online anymore though.
