We tried a snuggle nest the first couple of nights and LO wouldn't sleep in it-I think it was too hard. ?We are now using a bassinet at the foot our bed and it seems to be working better. ?I would love to just let her snuggle up with me, but DH is afraid that we will roll over her. ?
Does anyone not have LO in your room with you? ?How is that working out? ?I am considering putting her in the crib so we don't hear every little noise and check on her.?
Re: Where does LO sleep?
We use the snuggle nest but its not her favorite unless I put the sleep positioner in it with her and then shes fine.
We also use the bassinet next to our bed and we put the swing in our room. I talked with DH about moving her out of our room and he said no, that he wanted her to feel like part of the family always. He really enjoys the bonding time, which Im surprised because hes not a very lovey dovey guy and gave me SOO much crap about sleeping with DD#1 (he is her step dad) but now he sees things my way, I suppose!
I co-slept with my other DD until she was 3 so I would be pretty sad if i had to move her out of my room this soon
Maybe you can try the Arms Reach Co-Sleeper, I hear really good things about those.

DS sleeps in a Snuggle Nest in our bed. It is kind of hard so I draped one of DS' blankets over the whole thing & it's perfectly cozy for him. Our sleep situation is a little snug in a queen bed but I like it. DH is eager to get DS transitioned to the bassinet though.
I made a deal with him & said I will do it once I start going back to work.
As far as transitioning to the crib... I have no idea when that will happen. I guess when he starts consistently STTN would be a good time.

Day Three
My LO sleeps in her crib. She's been sleeping there since we took her home from the hospital. Our room is just down the hall and we have a great baby monitor so that we can hear her breathing and any other sounds.
I have a bassinett next to our bed, but LO will only sleep up to an hour in it, so I have had her in bed with us every night where she will sleep for 4-6 hours at a time.
I want to slowly get get into the bassinett, but I also ejoy my sleep too
Our Public Health nurse said that babies should sleep with Mom and Dad nearby for the first six months since it helps prevent SIDS. If baby starts to stop breathing, their brain will "hear" your breathing and will restart.
Our son sleeps either in a bassinet or in a PnP depending on which level of the house he's on and who is looking after him. We'll put him in his crib when he outgrows the bassinet.
