I want to take K to pick out a pumpkin this weekend. I'll drive to Half Moon Bay if I have to, but I'd rather find something more local. Which are the good ones around these parts? TIA!

We took DS to Uesegi Farms with his cousins on the 10th and he loved it. It's huge, has tons of activities, and gorgeous pumpkins. DS loved the craft hut, with the witch hats. And he loved the live band (they have music on the weekends). We loved the corn on the cob and slow pace. They have a hay ride, two train rides, a maze, a carosel, and a few other attractions but we skipped them all since DS wasn't begging to go on them. He was happy just ot be out enjoying the sunshine and dancing to the music.
I'm not sure that it will be gone next year. The stuff I read said the city was buying the plot of land (Uesegi has leased it for 40 years or so) with plans to develop it into a park but in this economy the money to develop it wasn't certain and Uesegi would continue to lease it or lease other land in the area.
Re: SB ladies - where is the best pumpkin patch?
If I am going quick, cute, and local I go to the one on Snell and Chyenoweth.
But for fun....the one in MH...the Uesugi Farms one...unfortunately this is its last year.
