strange - clear blue easy digital ovul. test

ok...I am wondering how I could have messed up poas?

I have the Clear blue easy digital monitor ( OB suggested), but RE wanted me to use ovulation kits 2x a day 7 am & 4 pm to LH surge.  So I bought the ovulation kit and started on day 9.  On day 12 I had an ultrasound and he saw a nice big follie or egg. He scheduled IUI for day  14 and 15. ( B2B)

I was still to watch for a surge.

I NEVER HAD A SURGE, HOWEVER WHEN I WENT FOR IUI TODAY I WAS OVULATING.  So no IUI tomorrow.

How can I mess up POS?  I am not on clomid ro any other fert drug

    Hmmmm... Sometimes ladies just miss the surge. I know it sounds unlikely since you were testing twice a day, but it's possible. Hope this cycle is a BFP!

    OPKs are not 100% accurate, they have their faults
    A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
    My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

    I was growing follies on the right and the left but some months, was not ovulating.  The OPK test lines would get darker, but never a dark or 'equal' dark line.  My left ovary in particular, has never ovulated - I asked my OB/Gyn about this and he gave me some BS answer like, "Don't worry, it probably has ovulated when  you weren't paying attention."  During our first visit/consultation with our RE, he told me that my left ovary was physically too small to ovulate.   Wish I would have known instead of always thinking I was messing up the OPKs!!!!! 

    You didn't mess up.  Sometimes your body does it when you aren't looking and sometimes the tests are totally stupid!!!!  I wish you better luck next time.  BTW, there are drugs you can use to prevent spontaneous ovulation.  I used Cetrotide this cycle and it worked perfectly.

    thanks much for your time & response...sometimes you just feel like are you kidding,me, now I can;t pee correctly!!!.

    Your circumstances give me hope that there are other ...factors.
