soda causing reflux?

Everytime i drink this sierra mist cranberry soda, and sometimes when i have orange soda, i get the worst heartburn/reflux of my life. It makes me nauseated because its like a hot pool of acid in my throat! Is soda really causing this?

anything with a high acidity level can cause reflux. soda, citrus fruits and juices, tomatoes, etc.
