Panicking over our girl name

Ok, so it's the day before I'm being induced and DH and I still can't decide on a name for the LO if she's a girl.... I think we've sort of narrowed it down to Claire but now we're stuck on a middle name.  Any ideas? TIA!!

  • Any family names that are important to you? I think Claire Anne sounds pretty...
  • I love the name Claire!

start with family names you might like...

     I like:

    Claire Grace
    Claire Marie
    Claire Hope
    Claire Amanda

    How about your name?

  • Clarie Anne

    Claire Anna

    Claire Elizabeth

    Claire Veronica

    Claire Victoria

    Claire Marie

    Claire Christine

I could go on and on, it seems like almost anything could go with Claire. I think it's a great middle name, too!

I brought up Ann but DH didn't like it.  Both our grandmothers are Jennie but that doesn't seem to work well as a middle name.  We're doing James for our middle name if it's a boy because that was my dad's name (he's deceased).

I don't know how you feel about calling the baby by her middle name (I know a lot of people don't like that) but what about Jennie Claire and just call her Claire? I agree that it doesn't work as well with Claire Jennie, but if you wanted to incorporate your grandmother's names, you could do it the other way around.

  • I like Claire Avery...my cousin spells her daugher's name Avari...Claire Avari looks pretty!
  • What about Claire Genevieve?  Both are French, and Genevieve is also the French form of Jennifer (Jennie).
  • What about Claire Jenine (Jenine instead of Jennie)?
