I have one that I've been using for a few years. It's yummy. Let me find it...
Cocoa Mix
2 cups nonfat dry milk
1 cup malted milk powder
1 cup instant chocolate milk powder
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Sift all ingredients together.Add 1/3 cup mix to 1 cup boiling/hot water.
No. That one isn't it.
The one I'm thinking of floated around the board last winter, and didn't have so much processed stuff in it. It was like cocoa powder, dry milk, sugar, and something else. I mainly just need the amounts.

Sorry the only one I remember floating around had creamer in it

This. Although, could you use dried milk for the creamer? Would that be the effect you're going for?

Yeah -- the one that was popular last year had creamer in it. I remember, because I avoided it specifically for that reason.
I want to say there was another recipe posted that had pudding mix in the ingredients, but I have no idea who posted it.

i posted one that had pudding mix but also creamer (and dry milk so i don't think the effect is the same) perhaps if you made the mix without the creamer it calls for and then tried to make it with milk instead of water it would still work out?? or added liquid cream to it after the fact??

3 cups confectioner's sugar 8 oz. non-fat dry milk 16 oz. instant chocolate milk (I usually use Nestle's but have used store brand generic as well) 6 oz of Cremora (or any non-dairy powdered creamer) 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix (I like devil's food flavor!)
Mix all ingredients together well and put in jars with instructions: "3 Tbsp mix per 1 cup of hot water." However I usually tell people to use that as a guide and use however much of the mix they want - some like more some like less, it's very rich. Also - some warm milk in lieu of water and like that more or do half water half milk.
I tried it and didn't care for it at all. I ended up throwing most of it out. I think you could substitute dry milk for the creamer, but I think it would be watery.

I guess I'm going to be doing some kitchen science to come up with a good one. It can't be that hard to come up with one that doesn't use a lot of processed products...

I'm the one who has the recipe for the one with the pudding mix. It does say to use creamer but the last time I made it I just added more powdered milk and an extra box of pudding and it was yummy.
