Who is having their first?

I'm having my first child and I'm just curious about the rest of you. Also, I know a lot of you got pg right after getting married, did anyone wait a few years on purpose to get pg? We have been married for 5 years and planned it that way b/c we love to travel and volunteer and go out. So we wanted to get all that stuff in before we had a child. We will still do all that stuff, ,but not as often. I hope everyone is feeling well, first child or not.

It's my first and my hubby and I have been married for 2 1/2 years. We planned it this way so we could also travel, etc. beforehand! Congrats!

We waited 3 years. We knew we didn't want to get pregnant right away then I went back to grad school so we waited until I got finished. We really didn't take any big trips during that time, but it was nice to be able to pick up and leave whenever we wanted.

This is our first baby. We actually put off getting married for a while to concentrate on getting pregnant....we knew it would be difficult for us and before we spent all our money on our wedding we wanted to know if we would need IVF or not. But after 3.5 years of trying and a miscarriage, we decided it was time to stop trying and just get married. Its funny because in the only month we weren't trying, we got pregnant. Its funny how that works sometimes. But we did actually conceive 1-3 days after our wedding! Maybe we should have just gotten married 4 years ago and spared ourselves all the heartbreak.

It makes total sense to me why some ppl wait. If we didn't have issues we would have taken more time to travel and be young together. I'm glad you two got to have that and now you're on your next great adventure together! Sounds wonderful actually! H/H rest of your pregnancy!

It's our first. We've been married 6 years. We spent a few years traveling, going out, buying a house, etc. When we decided to have kids, we found out I had some infertility issues, so it took me longer than I expected to get pregnant.

This is our 1st. Dh and I got married in April and pregnant in May. I would have never dreamed it would have happened as quick as it did. We are blessed. We dated a couple years, did all of our partying, traveling etc. DH is 30 and I am 27, we were ready to settle down.

This is our fist. DH and I have been married for 2 1/2 years but it took us 2 to get pregnant. We probably would have waited longer had I not expected we would need to go through IVF.

This is our first, and we just celebrated our 5th anniversary. We planned it this way also...I wanted to get my master's degree and we both wanted to travel and do our own thing for awhile. It worked out great!

This is our first (and probably only), too. We got pregnant right away -- honeymoon baby, actually -- but I'm 38, so we just said "all bets are off, and whatever happens happens." Thankfully, it happened right away! If we had been younger, though, we would likely have waited and done more pre-planning.

First and married less than a year. I originally wanted to wait but when my niece was born We got baby fever and didn't want to wait anymore. And it was perfect timing because my two girlfriends got KU at the same time.

I think I'm the only one here not married. The bf/baby daddy and I have been together for 5 years. I've been on birth control for 6 years and our little girl was a big surprise.

Yes our first. We were married in May and found out we were pregnant on 4th of July. We were going to do a 1 year wait then what happens happens plan, but SURPRISE!

Our first! We have been together for 4 years, unmarried, but this LO was definitely a bc surprise. We planned to have children, if ever, once I was out of school, with my PhD. So, not for another 10 years or so. Lol, Surprise!

This is our first and we have been married a little over 4 years. I went back to school and finished my master's degree, then I decided to get in better shape so I spent a year losing about 50 pounds. We also spent some time traveling and remodeling our house!

We are having our first and will have been married 3 years by the time LO comes. We also traveled quite a bit (though we plan on continuing to do so even after the baby comes) and just wanted time to be just the 2 of us :-)

Our First...We have been marrie dfor 4 years now...and we planned it this way. We wanted to be Husband & Wife" before becoming "mommy and daddy"...because once you reach that, you'll be mom and dad forever! ;-)

We are having our first. We have been married for almost 1.5 years, but we've been together for 11 years. We put off the wedding so long that we didn't want to put off a baby any longer. We started trying a few months after the wedding. It took 11 months to get pregnant.

My amazing hubby and I dated for 5 years before I would let him propose LOL I told him I had to get my Bachelors first!! Luckily he was so in love he was willing to wait. This time though I thought we were on the "waiting til one after our second anniversary plan" yet DH confessed this one year early surprise was only really a surprise for one of us!! One month after our 2nd anniversary our prince or princess will be born.

We traveled alot well dating and last year as newly weds went all over. We have been to Scotland, England, Israel, at least 30 states, and all the islands one can think of. We have partied big, lived the dating life, experienced moments that we often have personal "jokes" about, ate exotic foods, drank drinks with names we can't say in front of mom! Knocked out half of my bucket list.

Had the biggest most magical wedding of our dreams.We are madly in love which I thought wasn't a feeling that could be duplicated that was until LO.

This is our first. We waited for a year after getting married to start trying...luckily we got pregnant fairly quickly. It would have been nice to wait a little longer, but we felt that time wasn't on our side (I'm 37, he's 43).

i am having my first. we are 4 years married, but we started ttc w/in 6 mos. after getting married b/c of our ages. sadly that turned into tttc. but, sadness turned to joy via IVF.

We got married in April and got pregnant in July. It's our first, but DH has a daughter (who will be almost 7 when LO comes) from a previous marriage. DH will be almost 38 and I'll be 30 when LO comes. We knew we wanted to start trying ASAP after the wedding so LO and SD wouldn't be too far apart in age.

This is our first, hubby and I have been together 3 years, married 2...will be 2 1/2 when our LO arrives. We never used birth control or any contraceptive and figured it would happen when the time was right. After 1 year of no baby, we were told by fertility specialists that we would need IVF to be able to have a family, but much to our surprise, we found out in August that we had conceived naturally and are due in April!! We couldnt be happier!!?

yep this is our first!! ?Super excited!! ?We have been married 3 years now. ?We started trying 1 1/2 into our marriage and it took us 1 1/2 years to get pregnant. ?Here we are! ?16 weeks and counting! ?Pregnancy has gotten a lot better now that I'm into the 2nd trimester. ?All of the sudden I've become really excited about it! ?I just hope everything goes well and smoothly and the baby is healthy. ?GL with your first!! ?

This is our first and very much planned. We waited a year after getting married to TTC, figuring it would still take us 6 months to a year to conceive. Happily, we got lucky on the first month. We still plan on travelling and having adventures, but to a lesser extent until this baby and it's future siblings are a little older.
