  yes they are weird. i think it was definately a publicity stunt after finding out about their wife swap appearances & their supposed new upcoming show.

  i'm glad you summed this up. i'd only heard snippets about the kid being sick on tv.  how horrible!  methinks some people may be looking into their fitness as parents soon...

  I do! The dad needs a beat down. I don't know how many mothers, myself included, worried and cried watching CNN when we all thought this little boy had fallen out of the hot air balloon at 7000+ feet. And to learn later that he was at home the whole time.

  weren't the parents on "wife swap?" -i heard that somewhere.

  this entire thing is a joke.  I started watching the father talk and had to turn it off, he sounds ridiculous!

  i haven't followed it much other than to know the little guy was okay and that perhaps it was a set up.   but dad and mom both earn douche points for naming their kid Falcon-really??   i'm all for unique names but this is not nice!

  The dad is a well known loon in the weather community.  As soon as other chasers found out whose son the kid was, they called it a publicity stunt right then.  This guy is famous for this kind of crap.

  Yes, definitely. I saw the GMA interview this morning and I really believe the boy got sick because he was being forced to lie for his parents. The mom's no peach either - she had to be told to go help her son off camera! The other two kids looked really uncomfortable. I think the parents are full of shiit and it's a shame they're making their kids go along with this.

  I was kind of shocked to hear the police chief say something like, "We have highly trained investigators who believe they are telling the truth, based on their body language and emotions during interviews..." I was like, seriously?? This guy looks like a HUGE liar to me!!

  And, on top of it, Falcon got sick on another show earlier. Seriously? It was ok just to keep putting your sick kid in front of cameras?

  I think the kid got sick because his dad was so mad about what he had said on CNN. That guy flies off the handle at anything. I don't know if it really was a hoax or not, but he looks like he is so pissed off at his kid for saying that. I feel bad for that little boy.

  YES! I think it was staged and after spilling the beans to Wolf Blitzer last night he got in big trouble from that jerk of a dad and now when it is mentioned it makes the poor kid physically ill.
