If you did NOT use a bumbo seat...

Why?  What are you doing to help your LO learn to sit up?

I'm trying to decide if I want to spend the money on 2 bumbo seats. so they can sit together, 1 seat and let them take turns or just go it on our own.

    We did not use a bumbo seat with #1 and never "missed" it and don't plan on buying one this time.  DD1 learned to sit without a problem and DD2 can almost sit already.

    I'm sitting her up to help her learn to sit up. There were no bumbo seats when I was born or my last two children, somehow we learned.

    To me, this is one of those things that people got by without for ages and ages. And everyone learned to sit just fine. So I'll be saving my money and helping free my house of more baby clutter!

    I got mine on craigslist for $20 with the tray (that I've never used)...I would check there first...you should probably get 2.

    We have one and it was seriously a waste of money.  We've only used it a handful of times.  It's not meant to help LO to sit.  We sat him on our laps and on the floor with our hands as support.  Then one day we started putting him in the tripod position and he's been doing it ever since. 

    ETA:  If you do decide to get...only get 1.  They're not suppose to be in them more than 5-10 minutes at a time anyways.  And try 1 at first to see if both even like it.
