Seriously. I've been on a conference call for the past HOUR and not one thing has applied to me. It's our monthly staff meeting for our profit center, but since my satellite office only has two of us here, one goes to the meeting and one attends via conference call.
So they called me, I put them on speaker phone and then muted my end (so they can't hear my typing!). I guess our profit center brought in over a million in revenue this month alone, so as a reward they brought in a massage therapist to do a stress presentation. I can hear her refer to a bunch of stuff she has there - power pt presentation, handouts, etc. I wasn't given any of the stuff to look at! I'm sitting here bored out of my mind because I have no clue what she's talking about or looking at. But I do know how to spell some new words - she's good at spelling a word out (she's spelled out at least 10 words that I've caught).
I can't really just work on other stuff, because I have to keep half an ear out to the call just to make sure I don't get asked a question and then look like a fool for having to ask for a repeat.
And, she's going to be at the home office the rest of the day to give all the workers a 10-minute massage. FML. I want a massage too!
