Fake Coughing?

Does your LO fake cough? Ethan has been doing it alot lately.  Today his DCP thought something was wrong but he would fake cough and then "talk". It was almsot like he was clearing his throat and then talking or trying to get our attention.  I just want to make sure it's not a real cough and I am ignoring my child.  He doesn't have any sick symptoms and doesn't do it in his sleep or wake up from sleep coughing.

    Charlie used to love fake coughing. It always got our attention & then he would start laughing!

    Yep, Justin does it all the time.  First he'll cough for real and I always ask "are you ok?" and then he does the fake cough.  His is really obvious though.

    Eve was fake coughing at like 4 months.. Its like the first REAL noise she made consistently.. I didn't think babies could fake things, but she learned that it got our attention, so she did it! She doesn't do it so much any more.. She has other noises to get our attention..

    He loved doing that. It was his favorite game for a while, especially with my dad.
