My family is planning a holiday vaca and they are talking about going on a cruise. I'll be 20-22ish weeks. I didn't think it was a problem, but today my girlfriend told me they won't let a pregnant woman on a cruise ship bc there are no medical facilities on the ship if anything were to happen.
Does anyone have any factual info about pregnant woman and crusies?
TIA!

Check with the cruise line you are going on but most major lines (Royal Caribbean, Carnival, etc) allow women but only until a certain point (23 or 24 weeks?). You'll want to make sure you have a doctors note to back up how far along you are.

Here's what I found search Carnivals commonly asked questions.
Carnival's policy regarding guests who are pregnant:
Guests who are 24 weeks or more into their pregnancy on the date of disembarkation will not be allowed to sail. Pregnant women less than 24 weeks must submit, prior to departure, Carnival's Pregnancy Certification Form, which must be completed and signed by the guest's physician. On the Pregnancy Certificate Form, the attending physician will be required to certify the gestational period and that the expecting mother is fit to sail.
