I seem to have a lower supply of milk at night time feedings. I have been ebfing and pumping after a few feedings a day but I have not been able to save up enough pumped milk to leave DD with a sitter for even one feeding because I am having to feed it to her to get her to sleep at night. I can usually pump 2 ozs after each feeding in the morning and afternoon but at night my breasts feel empty and she wants to eat every hour. So DH gave her a bottle of pumped BM before bed and she ate 3 oz and then slept for 5 hours. while he fed her, I pumped at her normal feeding time and only got 1 oz. This has happened several days in a row. I have a great supply in the mornings and it gets less and less as the day goes by. Anyone else have this problem? What can I do?

Re: low milk supply at night?
My production has always been that way- really high in the morning (after 5am) and by the end of the night it is lower. I haven't found anything that changes it- but I know DS is getting enough at night b/c of his sleeping patterns. I used to pump after feedings, but now that I have a good freezer stash I have stopped and only pump at work.
Also- keep in mind that your LO can get much more from the breast than the pump can. GL!
This is what i am doing, but how do you ever save any ebm for later? i don't seem to ever be able to pump enough to keep up. We wanted to leave DD with MIL this weekend for a few hours and go out to dinner. I NEED a break!
