Okay, so I know that when you have a contraction your stomach gets tight all over for a period of time and then loosens up. My situation is that the top of my stomach seems to be soft during the tightening. (Baby is dropped, keep in mind.) Should this be as tight as the bottom? (Which I feel tightening everywhere.) Maybe it's just baby moving I'm feeling? I am still confused if I've been having contractions or not... ::sigh::
Trying to make this make sense... LOL! The top quarter of my belly seems soft while the other 3/4ths seems tightening for a period of time and then loosening. Are those contractions or no? (Maybe my ute sits lower and I'm not feeling ute anymore on the top part I'm talking about?)
Re: For those who've had contractions (BH or real ones)...
I feel like I've read somewhere that all or part of your stomach can harden with contractions. For me, the top always gets SUPER hard, whereas the bottom isn't (and sometimes gets crampy)...granted, I don't think I've dropped yet.
It'll happen anywhere from 20 seconds - (for me) a few minutes and then relax.
HTH!
I had a few last night and my entire stomach got hard. I also had some lower back cramping and my hips hurt. I think baby was making her way downward.
It last for about an hour, on and off. then quieted down. .
