B slept/sleeps like that. When he was that age it was 5 hrs at a time at night, and 3 during the day. He was around 4ish weeks when he started moving up to 6 hours at night, and now regularly sleeps 6-7 hrs
Hmm...I would have your mom wake him every 3 hour at least to feed (maybe even 4). 5 hours for a 1 week old seems like too long to go without a feeding.

DS slept like that the first 1.5 weeks. Then he began to wake up every 2.5-3 hours. We are now starting to go back to 4 hours

its fine if baby is back up to birth weight. if not you need to be waking LO to eat a bit more often.
I think my baby could sleep like this but he has been losing weight so we are feeding every 2 hours... not fun?

Im so confused- how are your babies sleeping five or SEVEN hors at night??? I am bf every 2-3.5 hours, often I have to wake her (orders drom my LC).
I have been waking up to pump every 4 hours at night and pump every 3 hours during the day.
