Baby turtlenecks: thumbs up or down?

And where to buy them?

DD has the red drool patch on her chest and her shirts and onesies keep getting hitched down in front when she crawls, so it gets really irritated. I think turtlenecks would solve this problem but I hated wearing them as a kid and don't even like them now. WDYT??

  • I got one at Target for $3. It's white but they had other colors as well. I washed it and then realized he will hate me if I make him wear it. His has a huge noggin and I have no idea how I'll get it over his head, even if I undo the two snaps.

    No  for all ages!!

Ditto.  Feels like a really tiny person is choking you.  I despise them!

LOLZZ! Yes, I agree, I don't even like them for myself! But what about her scratchy red patch?!?

  • I love turtlenecks!!  Haha, maybe I'm the strange one.  I've got a Kissy Kissy one for DS to wear underneath longalls when it gets colder...but it's still 75+ degrees here, so he hasn't worn it yet.

  • I saw some at Carter's yesterday . . .
  • i have a few i got on clearance from BRU.  they are for little boys but i don't care.
  • Our son has the same issue with the drool patch.  We followed the daycare's example and always have a bib on him.  With him teething we go through about 3 bibs a day just for drool!  Eucerin cream clears up the redness fairly well too.

  • DS has one on tight now, so thumbs up.

I found a bunch at my consignment shop for 50 cents.  It seems not everyone likes them and are willing to get rid of them for cheap :)
