Well - things were smooth sailing until today.... It doesn't feel like I anticipated: no lightheadedness and nausea like I've experienced with the flu. I am just sitting here at work thinking that I could vomit if I tried, and the thought of lunch is making me feel worse. I'm feeling it more in the back of my throat than anywhere else. Is this what everyone else is experiencing?
Has anyone not made it to the bathroom in time? How did you handle and explain it? Are you keeping a garbage basket next to you at all times? Any tips or advice is appreciated. I told only a few people in my office, and there would be at least 20 people who could hear me if anything happened at my desk or if I ran to the restroom, which is shared with like 50 women in my company. I feel like the cat would be out of the bag immediately either way...
Re: M/S finally sets in - any advice?
M/s is different for everyone. I'm a teacher so I'm moving around all the time. I haven't vomited at work yet (fingers crossed) but there is a trash can near by if I absolutely have to use it.
Oh I suggest that you keep a toothbrush at work.
Yes to the garbage bin near by - came in very hand a couple of times my first pregnancy. People may notice, but it's better than puking everywhere.
I also threw up on the tracks of the NYC subway, which was lovely as well.
Ginger snaps are great, as are Jolly Ranchers. Just be sure to stay hydrated, and try to eat small, bland things if you can. Rice, broth, etc. I hope it's not too bad for you.
Mine magically disappeared at 12 weeks last time! I hope it happens soon for you!
Ohhhhh kdiguise, you give me much hope! Thanks for the encouragement
Oh, and your LO is ADORABLE!
Def keep food in your stomach. I try to eat every hour, two at the most. Over the past couple weeks I have been trying fruity flavored gum and seltzer water. They have both helped a lot.
