We've been feeding DD rice cereal the last few weeks or so about once a day. Well she's never had any constipation issues before but yesterday and today she's only had one small poop and it seems to be more well-formed (sorry for the TMI!). Seems like she could be a little constipated. All I can figure is it's from the cereal as for the first time on Sat. she ate the full amt and had a little yesterday too.
Did anyone else find this happen on cereal or should I be looking at this constipation as a symptom of something else? Thanks in advance!
Re: Less Frequent Poops on Cereal?
My son has been a pooping machine since starting cereal! However, our ped. just told us to do rice for one week, then oatmeal for a week so he was never on rice cereal for that many consecutive days. I know that the rice cereal is more binding than oatmeal. Can you try oatmeal now? Because of the extra fiber in it, it helps regulate them more.
