Anyone using/planning to use EPO?

Evening Primrose Oil..I figured those using it would know what I meant.  I'm 1cm dialated and have been having horrible contractions, but they sent me home.  My cervix was still thick.  I know this can take weeks to work and it's generally used starting at 36 weeks.  I'm going to ask my midwife about it tomorrow.  I also don't want her out immediately, but I don't want to go overdue either.  I have a growth ultrasound tomorrow because we are both running out of room. 

Just wondering if anyone had any experience with it and whether or not they noticed any side effects, etc.  I do not plan to insert vaginally..unless midwife tells me too.  I'd rather just take it orally.  I dont want anything else leaking out of me at this point than already is.  lol. 

DD1(4):VSD & PFO (Closed!), Prenatal stroke, Mild CP, Delayed pyloric opening/reflux, Brachycephaly & Plagiocephaly, Sacral lipoma, Tethered spinal cord, Compound heterozygous MTHFR, Neurogenic bladder, Urinary retention & dyssynergia, incomplete emptying, enlarged Bladder with Poor Muscle Tone, EDS-Type 3. Mito-Disorder has been mentioned

DD2(2.5): Late term premie due to PTL, low fluid & IUGR, Reflux, delayed visual maturation, compound heteroygous MTHFR, PFAPA, Bilateral kidney reflux, Transient hypogammaglobulinemia, EDS-Type 3

    I would but you aren't supposed to if you have a blood clot disorder or are on blood thinners, which I'm currently taking.  So I can't take it.  I did take it with DS though from the advice of a midwife starting at 37 weeks.

    I started taking it a week and a half ago, 3 1000mg pills orally a day.  I have had no side effects from it.  Before I started taking it I was a FT dilated, long, thick and firm; after taking it for over a week I am long, thick and soft and no longer dilated.  Its supposed to help soften the cervix and help with effacement, so I guess it did help soften it.  I'm going to continue to take it, since I've had no I'll effects from it, surely it can't hurt.

    I'm taking it. I take 1,000mg 2x per day and 1,000 mg vaginally at night. It isn't leaky or gross like yeast infection inserts are. I haven't noticed any side effects at all. I'm not sure about progress...I only had one internal and will not likely have more. (Why bother?)
