2nd Trimester

So I bought hair dye....

I've needed to dye my hair for about 3 weeks now. I bought the dye yesterday afternoon.

I meant to dye it today but it didn't happen. It probably won't happen tomorrow, either.

I dye it first and then frost it, so it takes about 2 hours total (dye it with color, rinse it out, dry my hair, pull it through the frosting cap, put the bleach on, rinse it out, dry it again to make sure it all looks good.). It's not hard....just time consuming.

At least I made a step in the right direction and actually bought the stuff....

Re: So I bought hair dye....

  • I am soooo in need of some dye!  I'm starting to see some gray on the sides!  And I'm onlly 28!  Normally I keep up with it pretty well but I was scared to dye in first tri. My dr. has said that it's perfectly fine though.

This is me too! I soo need to dye it, my roots are horrible (I had it prof. done right before my wedding 4 months ago) I was just thinking of getting a golden brown box dye and having my sister do it..

  • Don't you know that if you dye your hair, your baby will be born with 23 fingers and 5 legs? In extreme cases, I've heard that the baby will have a backwards head and have to dress like Kris Kross for their whole life.

So do you think my baby will end up with a few extra fingers or maybe 3 eyes since I'm a hair stylist and play with color all day. I better knock on wood the first one came out normal lol

I started going grey at 10. For some strange reason, I used to have friends that always wanted to play with my hair or just brush it. Then as they would do that regardless if I wanted them to or not, they would point out that they found a grey hair. By the time I was in high school, I started playing with color. I got tired of people pointing out the grey hairs. I went from naturally dishwater blonde to golden blonde and bright red/fuschia (just to be different). Now I stick to coppery red or as the box calls it terracotta blonde. As for brand, I use naturtint. I find the color lasts longer than the average box hair color dye at the store. If I use clairol or any of the others, reds tend to fade quicker on me but naturtint doesn't really. The one odd thing I find is that for at least a week, some of the color comes off when I wash my hair and leaves a bit on the towel but it doesn't stay on the towel and washes right out. Also, I find it doesn't have that burning, stinging smell that hurts the eyes when you color your hair and happen to turn your head and you smell the fumes.

  • I finally dyed my hair yesterday, thank goodness. ?It wasn't looking too good. ?I've been in need for a few months now. ?That is a very long process. ?I thought waiting 25 minutes was long. lol?
