store brand wipes?

Does anyone use store brand wipes and have good things to say about them? (like Wal-Mart or Target...or HEB if you're in Texas)

I'm looking for ways to save some money...and DH doesn't seem to get that it doesn't take 5 wipes a changing...so getting cheaper wipes would be great!

Thanks!

Re: store brand wipes?

  • I really like Target brand - Up & Up Sensitive. I think they are really soft and have some give you so that you don't have to use as many.... but after that I only like Huggies... with coupons and stores that will double the prices aren't that much more if at all.

  • Thanks!  We're using Huggies now, and we really only have like 1 grocery store here (which I hate) and they don't double.  But I'm at Wal-Mart and Target enough I could pick up their wipes no sweat.
  • My favorite is the Target up and up brand, sensitive. They're lightweight which I like, and just super easy to use. Love them. My second favorite is the Pampers sensitive and I'm not a Huggies wipes fan, too thick for me. So yea, go for the Target brand!

I agree with Home_slice entirely! Only Target wipes for us!

  • I got a case of Kirklands Sensitive wipes (I think it is a Costco brand) and I really like them. I also received Parents Choice Sensitive (I think this is a Walmart brand) and I liked them too. I'll have to try the Target ones when I run out of the Kirklands since we don't have a Costco membership.

  • We use Gerber and Circo washcloths.  Can't get cheaper than that and I promise it only takes one to clean up even the messiest poo.  You can just keep the dirties in a small step lid trash can next to the changing table and do a small load every couple of days.

This exactly.  I also think the Target brand is a little more moist than the Pampers Sensitive.

  • We use the BRU especially Yours Sensitive wipes.

I did a price comparison (BRU, Walmart, Target, Diapers.com, CVS, and Costco) on wipes and diapers (anal I know) before DS was born and it appears based on qty and price BRU wipes were the cheapest and Pampers diapers at BRU were the cheapest. But everyone is different.

  • i will only use Kirkland/costco wipes ---- i HATE pampers and huggies wipes- they tear and the scents are too heavy.  Costco wipes never tear and have no scent - they work great!
