Success after IF

1 small step forward

In yesterdays urine sample after I was admitted there were 'crystals' and small amounts of blood. So that suggests I am passing a stone, but the kidney u/s did not show any stones or sign of infection, but the u/s tech could not get a good view of the bladder because babies head blocks the view. So the stone could be in the bladder, but we will never know unless I pass it...

The kicker. He wants to consult with a stone specialist (hows that for technical)  but because it is a weekend, and a long one at that, I will be here until Tuesday, at the earliest.

I burst out into tears with the doctor and his student groupies in my room... he was very sweet and shooed the groupies out of the room, I feel like such a moron!

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • Don't feel like a moron! I think anyone would do the same thing in your position.

My sister had kidney stones with her 2nd pregnancy. They prepared her for passing it or even said she might have to have it crushed (it didn't sound like the most fun process). You know what? It just dissolved over time. Maybe yours will do that too. It sounds like it might be starting to dissolve if they're seeing crystals in your urine. I hope this goes away for you and you can go home!

  • I am sorry. I went into PTL at 29 weeks. I was put in the hospital on a Satuday and thought I would go home on Sunday. I didn't go home until Wednesday. I cried every day when they told me I had to stay. You aren't  a moron and it is nice that the dr. understood.

  • I'm so sorry.  I can't imagine how hard it would be to be in the hospital all weekend.  Don't feel silly for crying -- I once burst into tears because I had to do a 24-hour urine collection and miss a big conference that I was organizing.  I hope that you get some answers soon and get to go home!
